march 2005. collage, acrylic paint, pastels, ink. I had this old book from the 1900s in my room and the illustrations in it were really interesting to me, especially the amount of detail (zoom in!!). I decided to use it in a different context while keeping some of the text from the story itself.

wow this one's extra cool! i love the way you separated the woman on the from her original space in the pic, reinforcing the dynamics of the text. as though she's detached herself to hold back the unkind words. love your style with mixed media, i'm a mixer myself!
